i recently became 'artist in residence' at Nova in Antwerp, which basically means that i draw the covers for their brochures and do other pretty stuff. this was my illustration for the first cover...


and here's the print version! i was very excited about this and it turned out rather well.


they even included some text about me to flatter my huge ego.

since i spent so much time on the little figurines for the poster that came with the kapitein winokio cd, i thought i'd give them a separate post! i tried to picture typical musicians and dancers from every country on the cd, and turned them into this captain figure.

some people might remember this post here: an illustration i made for a small layout assignment in school. after posting this i was contacted by kapitein winokio himself to do the illustration work for his new cd, an album with children's songs from all over the world. this cd was released a few days ago:






it has taken quite a lot of work, but i'm very excited about the final result! this is the first time i saw my work in actual print somewhere, and i couldn't help but squeal a bit when i spotted the album in a large record store.

it's been an awfully long time since i posted anything, but i've been working on projects for a long time so i didn't really have anything to show...

now i am showing you things, and i'm even selling them! i'm talking about all this:


two books:

'wonder' about a day in a city that ends with a party. this is basically my final project for school, minus the text. the book measures about 13,5 cm x 19 cm when closed, 10 spreads, handmade, printed on high quality paper, numbered and signed. limited print of five books.

four classic brown frames with an original papercut piece in them. smaller pictures (the pipe smoker and the music girl) measure 9x 13 cm. the larger ones (boy with dog and man with cat) measure 10 x 15 cm. signed on the back of the picture.

i also made prints out of the four pictures. they are all the same size (10 x 15 cm) and printed on high quality paper in a limited series of five. every print is signed and numbered by me. the size fits a regular frame.
